Electrical Engineer in Test (m/f/d)

You will lead industrial testing solutions, focusing on PCBA validation and test systems, while collaborating with software and mechanical engineering teams. • Electronics Testing: You lead the validation phase of PCBAs and other electromechanical assemblies, including the definition of test protocols as well as the research and implementation of standards 
• Test System Design: You design and develop test systems as an integral part of your daily work. Together with our Mechanical and Software teams, you create new testing procedures and systems for DUTs ranging from single components to complex mechatronic assemblies. You take ownership from conceptualization and prototyping to full deployment 
• Data Management: You handle the created measurement data in a systematic way and support in developing a global solution for testing data management and evaluation
• Quality Assurance: You position yourself at the forefront of EGYM’s quality assurance for electronic components and enable the Quality department to apply standard testing procedures for series production 
• Documentation: You document your technical work, manage your tasks, and share your progress transparently. You plan your own projects and supervise their timelines in accordance with company targets

Your fitness level:
• Degree in Electrical Engineering You have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or an equivalent educational background
• Professional Experience: You have at least 3 years of professional experience in an engineering environment and are used to product development procedures
• Electronics Debugging: You know your way around electronic debugging, laboratory measurements, and signal analysis 
• Software Skills: You have experience with software development or scripting solutions necessary for efficiently testing and debugging electronics
• Technical Knowledge: You can prove knowledge of the following (as a plus):• Embedded software development (C, C++) & version control (Git)
• Basic knowledge of UNIX shell & network stack
• Automated industrial production environments
• GUI development and scripting languages
• Signal integrity assessment and simulations
• EMC precompliance methods
• Management tools such as Jira

Your training goal for your first 6 months:
• Ownership: You take ownership of an existing testing system and manage its next development steps
• Product development: You accompany a PCBA through the validation phase and apply the methods from our testing catalogue 
• Knowledge Sharing: You share your knowledge and experience of electronics design, system design and testing methodologies
• Product Understanding: You understand the EGYM product portfolio, our unique selling points and processes in hardware development
• Production Environment: You experience our production and assembly facilities hands-on and learn about the challenges and opportunities
