Electrical Engineer

ReconCraft is seeking an early career Electrical Engineer to support the design and production of advanced maritime vessels and platforms. Based in Clackamas, Oregon, this role offers hands-on engineering experience in a collaborative manufacturing environment, working alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver reliable power and control systems for manned and unmanned marine applications.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Support electrical and control system design for AC/DC power generation and distribution.

• Perform load analysis and develop one-line diagrams, schematics, and interconnect drawings.

• Select electrical components and develop Bills of Material (BOMs).

• Create and maintain shop and fabrication drawings for production.

• Translate project requirements into compliant design documentation.

• Act as a technical liaison between engineering and production teams.

• Support testing, troubleshooting, and design refinement activities.

• Review technical documentation for accuracy and compliance.

Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements:

• Citizenship

• Must qualify as a U.S. Person as defined by 22 CFR §120.15

• Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (or graduating in 2026)

• Required Experience and Knowledge:

• Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design tools

• Understanding of AC/DC electrical systems

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in marine or maritime systems

• Familiarity with CANBUS, NMEA 2000, J1939, Ethernet-based protocol

• Work Environment

• Primarily office-based with limited shop floor support

• Occasional physical activity for inspections and testing
