Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay: Up to $35.00/Hour (Depending on Experience)
Job Description:
The Electrical Drafter role is suited for a highly self-motivated individual who is ready to work in a fast-paced environment. The primary responsibility will be the creation & revision of electrical schematics, electrical bill of materials, and visual aided installation instructions.
Responsibilities:
• Handle complex designing and drafting assignments under minimal supervision.
• Create drawings and models from written and verbal specifications obtained from Engineers.
• Work with Engineers regarding accuracy, design, drafting standards and design documentation.
• Review drawings for completeness and accuracy.
• Maintain all revisions of project drawings.
• Examine and check engineering drawings for compliance with cited specifications.
• Provide timely technical assistance and solutions to the team.
• Participate in project meetings and conference calls as required.
• Prepare engineering documents for customer submittal.
Qualifications:
• High proficiency in Solidworks Electrical
• Autocad electrical experience preferred
• Proficiency in basic electrical design / function preferred
• Ability to develop design layouts in 2D drawings (schematics)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
• Ability to work under pressure with deadlines while having to multi-task multiple priorities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work successfully and collaboratively with a team
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
Requirements:
• Associate’s degree in computer-aided drafting and design, engineering technology or similar technical degree
• A minimum of two years' experience
• Knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes and how it relates to design
• Hands-on experience with 3D modeling tools such as Auto CAD and Inventor preferred
