The department Technology DCW Equipment Development plays a key role in the development of new & customized products and technologies to strengthen our position and differentiate our products.

Your position
As an Electrical Development Engineer (Special Design), working under the supervision of the Module Deployment Group, responsible to manage customized products (eg: advice, design, test) you will be part of a multidisciplinary (mechanical, electro-mechanical and controls) team.

You will be working on the design, development, and testing of new and customized functionalities for our products and systems. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining electrical installations and control cabinets using tools such as EPLAN/ProPanel, ensuring compliance with relevant standards like NEN-EN-IEC 60204. The solutions you develop will serve as modular building blocks for our Engineering department and will be integrated into customer systems worldwide. Where needed, you will support colleagues during the integration process, contributing to efficient and effective solutions that meet the needs of complex, multidisciplinary projects.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Design and development of electrical diagrams and 3D cabinet design in E-Plan / Pro Panel for products and special request from projects;
• Maintain existing cabinets to the latest requirements and quality feedback;
• Creating materials lists;
• Optimize and release design for production with a quality mindset;
• Supporting internal customers by answering their technical questions like supply chain, sales and project engineering;
• You are responsible for mitigation of design risks;
• Contribute to the development of your technical domain;
• Innovative solutions for power distribution, ASibus, Industrial Ethernet, sensors and frequency controllers, etc. and their further development and optimization;
• Electrical/mechanical component research;
• Organizing and conducting tests in our Innovation Centre.

Your profile
You must have obtained a relevant technical degree within the last two years. If you recognize yourself in the following profile, please prepare and extensive your resume and cover letter:

• You have a technical qualification, preferably an MBO+, Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation or equivalent;
• You have experience and affinity with Eplan / ProPanel;
• You have knowledge about regulations like NEN-EN-IEC 60204 and NEN-EN-IEC 61439
• You have knowledge about safety regulations like NEN-EN-IEC 13849
• Prepared to gain knowledge about UL508A (North American regulations)
• You are familiar with ASibus and Industrial Ethernet;
• You have excellent communication skills and are a good team player across multidisciplinary teams;
• You will get the opportunity to travel abroad (up to 10%);
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary, diverse and global team environment;
• You are an entrepreneur, eager to learn and want to improve every day; the drive to win;
• Strong command of the English language, both verbal and written; proficiency in Dutch is preferred.

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 3716 to € 5043 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
