Job Opportunity:
We are looking for an Electrical Designer to create electrical diagrams for controlling specialized automated equipment. This is a demanding position that requires commitment and continuous learning. Technology is constantly changing and an Electrical team member needs to be able to adapt to these changes and embrace new challenges. Efficient, logical thought processes need to be continuously developed to succeed at providing solutions for our customers and the team. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

What You'll Do:
Complete the electrical design and schematics of specialized automated equipment.
Apply electrical industry design and safety standards.
Completes “as built” drawing updates, reviews updates/changes with the other departments when required.
Maintain the backup and storage of programs as per Mecsmart standards
Use appropriate methods to generate and verify the design.
Generate and submit Bill of Materials (BOM) to the Purchasing Department.
Work with Sales, Project Management, Mechanical Design and Controls pertaining to scope, concept and engineering of current and probable projects.
Occasional travel as required globally.
What You'll Need:
Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent Specialized Experience
Minimum 2 Years’ Experience within the Automation or Automotive Manufacturing Field
Knowledge with EPLAN required.
Knowledge of AutoCAD, E-Drawing, and SolidWorks is considered an asset.
Familiarity with the following components: PLC, HMI, digital IO, analog IO, machine safety (hardwired, programmed), pneumatic motions.
