What You'll Do
As an Electrical Assembly Tech, you will build electrical equipment, harnesses, and various components. You will also support troubleshooting and refurbishing of used and returned equipment - playing a key role in keeping production running smoothly while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Assembling electrical harnesses and control panels according to electrical prints
Reading and interpreting electrical prints and documents
Testing and programming harnesses and control panels using tools such as volt meters, computers, mini screen displays, and test harnesses
Using hand tools to cut, crimp, tin, and splice electrical wires
Attaining assembly production goals by accurately and timely completing work orders with minimum supervision
Troubleshooting and repairing harnesses and control panels as needed
Reporting defective or questionable material conditions and electrical print discrepancies to the assembly Lead or Supervisor
Safely operating all department equipment, including braider, wire processor, forklift, electrical crimper, and electric wire cutter
Using EPICOR to locate, issue, and return material as needed
Performing weekly and monthly maintenance on the cutter and braider as needed
Contributing to continuous improvement activities for the department and building
Maintaining accurate time records and clocking in and out of appropriate operations on each job

Required:
High school diploma or GED, OR 3–6 months of related experience in farming, construction, carpentry, or manufacturing (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
Preferred:
3–6 months of experience using equipment and tool terminology
3–6 months of experience in electrical work or assembly of parts
3–6 months of experience safely operating machines
Prior experience is preferred but not required — we are willing to train the right candidate!
Physical Requirements
This is an active, hands-on role in a manufacturing environment. Team members must be able to:
Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, twist, crouch, and crawl throughout the shift
Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 lbs. and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and communicate effectively
Maintain close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, team members may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, oil, and grease. Team members occasionally work near moving mechanical parts and perform work from a variety of angles and body positions. Fluctuating temperatures within the facility may occur as overhead doors are opened and closed throughout the workday. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Appropriate PPE is required and provided.
