About This Role
Mastercraft Electric, Inc. is seeking an experienced EL06 Security Technician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for installing, servicing, and troubleshooting commercial low voltage security systems including access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can operate independently in the field, and represents the company professionally on job sites.
What We Are Looking For
EL06 Journeyman Electrician License (Required)
4+ years of electrical experience (Preferred)
Background in access control
Experience with systems like Avigilon, Genetec, Lenel, Honeywell, etc.
Fiber termination and testing experience
Valid Driver’s License
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
What You Will Do
Install and service low voltage security systems:
Access control (card access/keyless entry)
Video surveillance (CCTV/IP cameras)
Intrusion and alarm systems
Run and terminate low voltage cabling (Cat5/6, fiber, coax)
Read and work from plans, prints, and scopes of work
Troubleshoot and repair system issues efficiently
Program and commission systems
Coordinate with project managers, GCs, and other trades on site
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
Complete job documentation and communicate progress clearly

$42.00 – $50.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule
Monday – Friday
8–10-hour shifts
Consistent, reliable work hours
