Job Description
• Develop, maintain and apply programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards and ISO standards as part of an EHS Management System.
• Maintain compliance with environmental regulations applicable to semiconductor operations, including EPA, TCEQ, TxDOT, etc.
• Prepare, review, and submit required environmental permits and reports (air permits, wastewater discharge permits, hazardous waste manifests, annual emissions inventories, etc.).
• Conduct internal compliance audits and participate in externally led compliance inspections and customer visits.
• Provide environmental expertise for facility expansions, tool installation/decommission, construction projects, and maintenance activities.
• Participate in cross functional teams with Facilities, Manufacturing, Engineering, etc.
• Support emergency response, incident investigations, and root-cause analysis.
• Conduct sampling, analysis, and reporting to ensure compliance.
• Lead or support environmental corrective actions and continuous improvement projects.
• Participate as an active EHS staff member, including using an overall EHS (generalist) lens, and not solely environmentally focused.
• Participate in an on-call rotation with other EHS staff to support manufacturing organization.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5+ years of environmental experience in a manufacturing environment or consultant setting environment (semiconductor or other high‑tech industry preferred).
• Working knowledge of federal, state and local environmental regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification or intent to obtain (preferred).
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
