You play a key role in delivering high-quality experiences while contributing to long-term impact in the communities and environments we work in.
🎯 WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Lead Project Delivery: Own the day-to-day logistics, delivery, and development of the Education Project within the local primary school.
Mentor Volunteers: Manage and coordinate teams of up to 6 volunteers, identifying their strengths to maximize classroom impact.
Diverse Instruction: Support the delivery of literacy, phonics, PEMAC (Physical Education, Music, Art, and Culture).
Strategic Assessment: Conduct reading assessments, develop student profiles, and set long-term learning goals.
Impact Tracking: Oversee monitoring strategies, ensuring accurate student progress tracking and project evaluation.
Model Leadership: Promote violence-free behavior management and inclusive education practices at all times.
Build Relationships: Maintain strong partnerships with local teachers and headteachers to integrate volunteer lessons into classroom schedules.
🚀 WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
You do not need to be a qualified teacher to apply, but a genuine passion for helping children develop confidence and a love for reading through literacy and phonics is essential.
Strong leadership and operational skills to manage diverse teams and complex schedules.
Ability to work in a remote, field-based environment with respect for diverse cultural perspectives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust within the local community.
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset to identify areas for project development and implement improvements.
Bonus if you also have:
TEFL/TESOL certification.
Experience working in the South Pacific or developing community contexts.
Previous experience with GVI.
