As part of the Steer studios team, you will work alongside the best global gaming talents who have relocated to Riyadh to be part of the ambitious group, and innovative, passionate and hardworking Saudis.

Steer Studios is looking for a skilled and analytical Economy Game Designer to join our team and help shape the live economy of our hybrid casual mobile titles. This role is hands-on and high-impact, requiring expertise in balancing game systems, building economy models, and driving live performance through data-informed iteration.
You will be working closely with product owners, game designers, and analysts to impact progression, pacing, monetization, and retention metrics while delivering a fair and engaging game experience.

Your responsibility:

Own the design and balance of the game economy in our games (progression pacing, currency sources and sinks, balancing, Live operations and feature yields).

Model complex in-game systems using spreadsheets and simulation tools to test, balance and tune the game economy and to support player motivation and monetization.

Define and maintain balance sheets, economy specs, drop tables, and all tuning documentation.

Analyze player behavior, game metrics and monetization performance to identify economy issues and opportunities.

Collaborate with the development team to define and implement monetization and content strategies.

Support feature launches with reward modeling, forecast simulations, and economy viability assessments.

Track mobile F2P market trends to propose economy evolutions aligned with industry standards.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience in Mobile Gaming, with at least 2 years in an Economy Designer position.

At least one shipped title with live operation experience and monetization success.

Strong understanding of Economy systems: currencies, progression pacing, drop rates, reward systems, sinks vs. sources.

High proficiency in Excel (including advanced formulas, simulations, visualizations, scripting)

Product sense: understanding of how Economy design supports retention and monetization KPI.

Strong communication skills to explain and document complex systems with clarity.
