Summary of Primary Role
The Economist will play a vital role in supporting our sales pipelines, driving client engagement, and producing data-driven insights that impact on our target markets.
Key Responsibilities
Support sales pipelines through data-driven insight production and client meetings in Latin America, both in the Colombia and Brazil offices.
Attend client meetings alongside our sales teams for strategic opportunities.
Produce regular data-driven economic insights and dashboards aligned with CEIC’s go-to-market plan target addressable markets.
Support global insight production through team collaboration and global editorial calendar with thematic cross-region and global economic insights.
Support the delivery of the regional community engagement plan.
Contribute to marketing activities related to the development of the company’s brand awareness and thought leadership in Latin America countries through preparation of content and participation marketing and public speaking initiatives.
To be considered for this role you will need to have
A degree in Economics or Finance.
Prior experience with macroeconomic, industry and financial data, with a focus on Latin America.
Excellent analytical capabilities working with large data sets with rigorous attention to detail.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in front of a large audience.
Experience writing research publications.
Ability to work well in a team, showing excellent team spirit; strong organizational skills are essential.
Experience in programming languages applied to economics (R, Python, etc)
Fluency in English. Experience writing English-language analytical publications.
Spanish speaking is a plus.
Positive attitude and a “can do” approach.
