We're looking for a calm, attentive, and deeply caring Infant Teacher to provide the kind of consistent, nurturing care that gives babies the best possible start. What you'll do
Provide attentive, responsive care for infants ages 6 weeks to 12 months throughout the day
Conduct focused observations and document each infant's developmental milestones
Carry out daily activities aligned with Building Kidz's infant curriculum and developmental goals
Evaluate the effectiveness of activities and adjust to meet each child's individual needs
Ensure the safety, hygiene, and well-being of every infant at all times
Maintain continuous supervision and conduct regular safety checks
Communicate warmly and consistently with families at drop-off and pick-up
Keep the Director informed of any concerns regarding infant care or safety
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with Building Kidz and licensing requirements
Uphold accreditation standards and all state licensing regulations
Contribute positively to the team and support the overall operation of the center
Required by Arizona childcare licensing (AZDHS)
Must be at least 18 years old with a minimum of 6 months of experience in a licensed facility.
High school diploma or GED
Valid Arizona fingerprint clearance card (or ability to obtain one)
Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before start date)
Food Handlers Card (or willingness to obtain before start date)
Completion of AZDHS new employee orientation/10-day training checklist upon hire
You might be a great fit if you have…
1–2 years of experience in infant care or a childcare/early education setting
A calm, patient, and nurturing presence with very young children
Practical knowledge of infant development and developmentally appropriate practice
Strong communication skills and comfort building trust with new parents
24 ECE units, a CDA credential, or Early Childhood coursework, or are working toward one
Dependable attendance and a professional, team-first mindset

Physical requirements
Infant care is a hands-on, physically active role. You'll be picking up, carrying, and comforting babies throughout the day, as well as sitting on the floor, bending, and moving quickly to respond to infants' needs. Must be able to lift to 40 lbs, work comfortably indoors and outdoors, and have the hearing and vision needed to monitor infant wellbeing at all times. Hours may occasionally vary to accommodate the needs of children and families.
