Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable One-Year-Old Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for toddlers. This role supports children’s developmental growth while building strong partnerships with families and maintaining Building Kidz standards. This is a full-time position M-F 8:30-5:30.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Meets state education requirements
24 ECE units or CDA preferred

Responsibilities
Provide a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment
Plan and implement curriculum for one-year-olds
Maintain classroom ratios, supervision, and safety at all times
Greet and communicate effectively with families at drop-off and pick-up
Complete required documentation and observations
Follow all Building Kidz policies, licensing regulations, and mandated reporter requirements
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and center events
Support center operations and collaborate with team members
Business casual; dressier attire or themed costumes may be required for special events.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift 40 lbs. and stand for up to 95% of the day
Assume posture at low levels, stoop, sit on the floor and bend down numerous times per day
Agility to move from a seated to a standing position quickly to respond to children’s needs
Perform all activities with children for prolonged periods such as dancing, jumping, running, and walking
Can perform all duties both indoors and outdoors
Possess acceptable hearing and vision capabilities to monitor the well-being of children
Work hours may vary to accommodate the needs of children and families
