Job Description & Summary

Kia ora,

At PwC, our purpose is clear: to build trust in society and solve important problems.

This is a place to keep growing. You’ll learn from the best, take on meaningful challenges, and make a lasting impact for our clients, our communities, and Aotearoa.

Ngā Kōrero mō tēnei tūranga / About the role

People are what make us the leading professional services firm in New Zealand, and we are a firm full of energy, challenge, innovation and opportunity. Our People & Culture team (P&C) sits at the centre of this, supporting our business so our teams can deliver the best possible service to our clients.

At PwC, Early Careers is where future leaders first meet our firm. You might be the person welcoming students at a campus event, answering the follow-up message that turns curiosity into an application, or coordinating the interview journey that leaves candidates feeling confident and excited about what’s next.

The purpose of the Early Careers Advisor position is to work with the Early Careers Manager and Talent Acquisition Manager to design and deliver successful Early Careers campaigns (across Graduate and Internship opportunities). You’ll help shape how PwC shows up on campus and online – building relationships, delivering standout events, and creating an excellent candidate experience from first conversation through to onboarding.

This is a highly visible, relationship-led role for someone who enjoys variety, loves events, and wants to represent a trusted brand. The Early Careers Advisor will promote PwC as a firm of choice to young talent and act as a brand ambassador at all times.

As our Early Careers Advisor you will be responsible for:

• Working closely with the Early Careers Manager and Talent Acquisition Senior Manager to support PwC’s entry-level recruitment campaigns, including Graduate and Internship programmes.

• Sourcing, identifying and engaging candidates through various channels, including university partnerships, online platforms, and career and networking events.

• Reviewing applications and CVs, coordinating interviews, and partnering with the business to secure top entry-level talent.

• Being a central point of contact for candidates and colleagues across Early Careers, responding to queries, resolving issues, and maintaining a high-quality experience throughout the process.

• Partnering with Hiring Managers to clarify early talent needs and supporting the Early Careers Manager to develop and deliver campaign strategies.

• Using our applicant tracking system (Workday) and other tools to manage candidates through recruitment and onboarding.

• Planning and delivering campus activity alongside wider business representatives, including travel during peak engagement periods (particularly March and July).

• Working with colleagues across People & Culture to deliver a seamless onboarding experience for successful candidates.

Ngā pūkenga ka kawea mai e koe, ka whakawhanakehia rānei i tēnei tūranga  / Skills you will bring or develop in this role

• 1-2 years’ relevant experience within Student Careers, Recruitment, Human Resources or other closely related fields (e.g., university careers engagement, recruitment agency, or event coordination).

• Knowledge of best practice recruitment methodologies and processes is preferred.

• Experience working with an applicant tracking system (e.g., Workday) is preferred.

• Confident, outgoing and relationship-focused – comfortable engaging with students and stakeholders, and representing the PwC brand.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple activities and deadlines across a busy events calendar.

• A proactive problem-solver who uses initiative, finds solutions, and escalates appropriately when needed.

• Commercially aware, with the ability to communicate PwC’s employer value proposition in a clear, compelling way.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence using technology and data (including leveraging tools such as AI to work smarter).
