As an e-Commerce Jewelry Specialist/Product Lister, you will play a critical role in maximizing the value of donated jewelry and specialty items sold online. Your expertise helps ensure valuable pieces are properly identified, tested, photographed, and presented to online customers, directly supporting our mission through increased revenue generation.
This position primarily focuses on jewelry evaluation and online sales. During periods of lower jewelry volume, you will support broader e-Commerce product listing efforts to help maintain production goals and operational efficiency.
What You’ll Do
Jewelry Evaluation & Online Sales (Primary Focus)
Sort and evaluate donated jewelry, identifying valuable fine and costume pieces for online resale
Test jewelry for precious metals and gemstones to ensure accurate representation and pricing
Photograph jewelry using an iPhone and web-based software
Create compelling, accurate titles and descriptions that maximize exposure and value
Manage jewelry inventory, including adding and purging items as needed
Meet daily and weekly sorting and production goals
Utilize data to improve listing strategies and performance
e-Commerce Product Listing (When Jewelry Volume is Low)
Photograph collectibles, clothing, and other donated goods for online platforms
Generate accurate, detailed product descriptions with proper spelling and grammar
Conduct brief research to ensure listings are optimized for exposure and value
Meet or exceed weekly and monthly listing production goals
Support additional e-Commerce functions such as packing, shipping, and inventory management
What We’re Looking For
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Knowledge of precious metals, gemstones, and/or valuable costume jewelry
Strong computer and typing skills
Ability to use an iPhone for photography and product management
Strong spelling, grammar, and written communication skills
Ability to work independently while meeting productivity goals
Flexibility to adjust responsibilities based on business needs
Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
Preferred
Experience selling on online platforms such as eBay, Amazon, or Marketplace
Background or specialized interest in jewelry, collectibles, vintage goods, or resale markets
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
Fine motor skills to sort and handle jewelry
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed
