Dynamics 365 CE Technical Solution Architect

Within our Microsoft AI Business Applications team, you’ll help design and lead the delivery of intelligent solutions that modernize organizations, improve how people work and services are delivered, and strengthen how organizations engage with customers and communities—building trust in a rapidly changing world.

We are seeking a highly experienced Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Technical Solution Architect to lead the architecture, design, and governance of enterprise scale Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions. 

This is a senior Dynamics 365 CE architecture role requiring deep technical expertise, strong functional understanding, and strategic consulting capability. You will be responsible for shaping solution direction, maintaining architectural integrity, and guiding delivery teams to implement scalable, secure, and future‑ready platforms, while acting as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders and programme leadership to translate business strategy into robust technology solutions.

Your opportunity 

Architecture & Solution Ownership

• Define and own end‑to‑end solution architecture for Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement implementations.
• Lead architectural decision‑making across Dynamics 365 CE, Power Platform, Azure, and integration components.
• Architect AI‑enabled business solutions using Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Power Platform extensibility.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles, security standards, and Microsoft best practices.
• Govern solution design to ensure scalability, performance, maintainability, and upgrade readiness.

Technical & Functional Leadership

• Act as a subject matter expert across Dynamics 365 CE modules, including Customer Service, Sales, Field Service, and Customer Insights (Journeys and Data).
• Drive design decisions that maximise out‑of‑the‑box Dynamics 365 capabilities while balancing necessary extensibility.
• Chair design authority forums and provide architectural oversight across multiple delivery streams.
• Coach and mentor Technical Leads and Senior Consultants, uplifting AI maturity, architecture capability, and overall solution quality.

Delivery & Governance

• Partner with programme and project leadership to maintain architectural integrity throughout delivery.
• Provide quality assurance across solution designs, builds, integrations, AI components, and releases.
• Identify architectural, security, and AI‑related risks early and lead mitigation strategies.
• Ensure adherence to delivery methodology, governance frameworks, and responsible AI standards.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Lead architecture and design workshops with senior client stakeholders.
• Translate complex business strategies into clear technical architectures and AI‑enabled roadmaps.
• Act as a trusted advisor, articulating architectural options, trade‑offs, and long‑term implications.
• Support presales and advisory engagements, including AI solution shaping, architecture inputs, and estimates.

Practice & Capability Development

• Contribute to reusable architecture patterns, accelerators, and industry solutions.
• Promote adoption of Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Power Platform AI capabilities across the practice.
• Support practice growth through knowledge sharing, forums, and mentoring.
• Stay current with Dynamics 365, Power Platform, AI, and Azure advancements, driving adoption of new capabilities.

Key Skills and Experience

• Deep experience delivering enterprise‑scale Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions.
• Proven background as a Technical Solution Architect, Lead Solution Architect, or Senior Technical Architect.
• Strong track record leading architecture for large‑scale, multi‑stream Dynamics 365 CE programmes.
• Experience working in consulting or complex enterprise environments.

Technical Expertise

• Deep expertise in Dynamics 365 CE architecture, data modelling, and security design.
• Advanced Power Platform experience, including Dataverse, Power Automate, and Power Pages.
• Strong experience designing extensions and integrations using plugins, JavaScript, Web APIs, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Service Bus.
• Experience with enterprise data migration, integration patterns, and Azure‑based architectures.
• Familiarity with GitHub Copilot and AI‑assisted development to improve engineering productivity and code quality.
• Experience designing AI‑enabled solutions using Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio (custom agents and extensions), and enterprise data integration patterns.

Consulting & Leadership Skills

• Strong architecture leadership and decision‑making capability.
• Confidence engaging with senior executives, architects, and technical leaders.
• Ability to balance strategic architecture vision with practical delivery execution.
• Excellent communication skills, able to influence technical and non‑technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Relevant Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform certifications (highly regarded).
• Microsoft Copilot, AI, or Azure architecture certifications (desirable).
• Architecture certifications (e.g. TOGAF) advantageous.
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

• PL‑400 – Power Platform Developer Associate
• AZ‑305 – Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• AB‑100 – Agentic AI Business Solutions Architect
