dSPACE HiL Test Engineer - ECU Test

Roles & Responsibilities :

Job Description:

( Important skills: ECU test scripting (trace Tronics), HIL testing)

1) Exp in integration HIL testing (MUST)

2. Strong analytical skill to diagnose and resolve issues observed during testing.

3. Good knowledge on dSpace Control desk , dSpace configuration desk , Matlab, Simulink, CANoe , Automation tool , Diagnostic tool , CANape.

4. Prepare the HIL environment for test campaign like HIL integration , SW flashing , ECU parameter update, test and measurement environment creation. (MUST)

5. Expert in issue troubleshooting with possible root cause and preparation of detail report.

6. Strong Knowledge on Communication protocol like CAN , LIN , Ethernet,UDS.

7. Good knowledge on Programming language like C , Python. (MUST)

8. Familiarity with vehicle testing is a strong plus.

9. Should be good team player.

10. Excellent verbal and written communication skill.

11. Should be familiar with Agile methodology and the JIRA toolchain

 

Educational qualification:

Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics/ EEE/ Computer Science

Experience :

1-3 years of experience in automotive Verification and Validation activities including functional testing

Mandatory/requires Skills :

Experience in Hardware in Loop (HiL) with following skillset:

• ( Important skills: ECU test scripting (trace Tronics), HIL testing)

• Must have good domain knowledge of Automotive Systems and architecture

• Must have good knowledge of Communication protocols like CAN, LIN. Preferred to have knowledge in Automotive Ethernet

• Must have good knowledge of Diagnostic protocols like UDS ISO-14229

• Must have good knowledge of scripting languages like CAPL

• Must have good knowledge of Management Tools like DOORS, JIRA, GIT

• Must have good knowledge of Test Process and Methodologies. ISTQB basic level certification prefered

• Must have good debugging / troubleshooting and electronic laboratory skills

Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and electronic lab skills.

ECU & Wiring Knowledge

Ability to connect ECUs, create wiring harnesses, and manage test benches

Communication Interfaces

Hands-on with CAN, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet hardware connections.

Diagnostic Tools

Use of oscilloscopes, multimeters, and bus analyzers for signal checks and troubleshooting.

Good communication skills and ability to work in & contribute as a good team player "
