Maxan is currently seeking a full time Foreman to coordinate operations and oversee workers in a fast-paced construction environment. As the point of reference for both workers and supervisors, this is a key role for meeting a project’s budget, schedule and quality standards. 

What You’ll Do:

Ensure all site safety requirements are fulfilled

Ensure construction is carried out as per plans and specs

Review completed work and ensure Maxan quality is maintained throughout the project

Complete daily and weekly reporting

Ensure Maxan's work area is clean and tidy

Ordering adequate materials required to complete the project

Organizing the workforce to complete the project in a cost-effective manner

Effectively communicating project progress and any concerns with all stakeholders

Ability to effectively oversee multiple project sites

Keep track of changes and extras as well as submit work orders

Create good working relationships with customers

Submit master time sheet daily

Other duties as assigned

What You Bring:

3 to 5 years’ experience as a drywall and acoustics foreman 

Union member or willing to join

In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OHSA requirements 

Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints 

Excellent organizational and leadership skills 

Ability to communicate and report effectively  

Problem solving abilities 

Excellent communication skills 

Valid drivers license and vehicle 

Valid WSIB, Working at Heights, First Aid certifications, etc. 

Valid lift tickets
