Job Description

We are looking for a Class 2 Driver to join our Kapiti team. You’ll operate company vehicles and equipment to deliver waste management services safely, efficiently, and sustainably, while keeping customers happy.

About the role

As a Driver, you will be responsible for operating a vehicle and equipment on board to ensure a safe and timely collection of service throughout Kapiti. You’ll also be required to follow a planned schedule and keep accurate records on electronic devices. You will keep your vehicle clean and undertake daily pre-start and post operating vehicle checks.

At times there may be some heavy lifting so you will need to have a reasonable level of fitness. From previous experience, you’ll already know the importance of health and safety in the workplace, and you’ll champion our culture of making sure everyone gets home safely.

About you

You are customer-focused and enjoy interacting with customers and colleagues. You’re comfortable working independently and pulling together as part of the team.

• A clean and up to date Class 2 New Zealand driver’s licence
• Relevant driving experience
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to carry out daily checks
