Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Driller / Drill Helper with 6–12 months of experience as a driller trainee to support core drilling operations. This role requires hands-on experience with core drill setup and operation, strong attention to quality control, and the ability to anticipate the needs of the driller to ensure efficient and safe drilling operations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the setup, operation, and breakdown of core drilling equipment
Perform drill helper duties, including properly dumping, boxing, and labeling core samples
Ensure accurate core handling and labeling to maintain quality control standards
Support the driller by anticipating upcoming tasks and being prepared to assist as needed
Periodically fill in as driller when required and qualified to do so
Maintain a strong focus on safety and compliance with site-specific procedures
Represent the company professionally while working with clients and site personnel
Qualifications
6–12 months experience as a driller trainee or drill helper
Experience operating and setting up core drills
Knowledge of proper core handling, boxing, and labeling procedures
Strong understanding of safety practices in drilling operations
Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when needed
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Ability to work long hours in remote field conditions
Capable of performing physically demanding tasks
Willingness to work rotational schedules as required
