Orla Mining is striving to be the emerging gold producer of choice with a geographically diversified asset base, a prospective development and exploration portfolio, an experienced management team with a successful track record, and a high-quality board and shareholder base.
Orla is advancing permitting and development on our South Railroad Project, a feasibility-stage, open-pit heap leach project located on the prolific Carlin trend in Nevada. This project is part of our larger South Carlin Complex which includes a prospective land package. We also operate the Camino Rojo Oxide Gold Mine, a gold and silver open-pit heap leach mine, located in Zacatecas State, Central Mexico. This low-cost operation is 100% owned by Orla, covers over 139,000 hectares, and includes a large sulphide mineral endowment located beneath the oxide resources.
Orla also operates the Musselwhite Mine located in Northern Ontario, a gold mine with more than 25 years of operating history and the potential to expand resources and mine life for years to come.

As Orla continues to grow, we are seeking a Drill Services Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will ensure that all drill programs are executed in a safe, environmentally responsible, and cost-effective manner. This position is essential to support the Exploration and Development teams by providing technical expertise in core shed, earthwork, and drilling activities.
Responsibilities
Check drilling operations and status daily
Provide drilling update daily
Review and approve invoices daily
Plan drill hole execution
Provide technical expertise when trouble shooting drilling issues to ensure drill hole is completed to planned depth
Manage drill activities related to earthwork, sample pick up and logistics
Anticipate and mitigate safety and environmental issues
Schedule core/RC sample pick up
Maintain compliance with various government agencies and stakeholders with respect to licenses and permits.
Build pad and roads to permit specifications
Survey disturbance and prepare reports
Advise the geologists on exploration activities, both in the field and office/core shed
Organize and lead the bid process for drilling and support contracts
Negotiate and set up contracts
Manage contractors, ensuring compliance with written and verbal agreements
Line out daily tasks for drill services employees
Monitor performance and provide feedback to drill services employees
Ensure work is performed in a safe and efficient manner
Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of Drill Services or drilling experience required.
A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience required.
Ability to use a GPS, understand azimuth and inclination, and set up drill rigs and plan drill pads.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate level or higher). Knowledge of GIS software is preferred.
Ability to plan and organize work, prioritize, make complex decisions, and lead others.
A minimum of 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, sit, stand, bend, twist, climb stairs, walk over uneven ground for long distances, and withstand extreme hot and cold temperatures.
Manual dexterity to use desktop computers and peripherals.
Ability to drive extended distances over paved and dirt roads.
Ability to see and hear warning signs and signals and work around heavy equipment.
