Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Draftsperson/Designer to prepare and manage high-quality civil, architectural, modular, and construction drawings across all project stages—from concept to construction. The role involves developing and updating drawings and models using Archicad or Revit and CAD,, while ensuring accuracy, compliance with Australian standards, and timely delivery. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with engineering and architectural teams, interpret design plans, apply knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC), and incorporate design changes and feedback as required. Experience in hydraulic and hydrostatic modelling and a strong commitment to drafting standards and best practices are essential.
• Prepare detailed civil, architectural, modular and construction drawings using Revit or Archicad.
• Develop and update drawings (including modular) using CAD, Revit and rendering in 12D (or other related 3D rendering software).
• Review and interpret civil and building design plans, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Coordinate drawings with engineering, architectural and civil inputs.
• Ensure all drawings and models are delivered to a high standard of accuracy within required timeframes and in compliance with Australian regulations and standards.
• Apply working knowledge of the National Construction Code NCC and related Australian building requirements, such as energy efficiency.
• Carry out hydrostatic and hydraulic Music Modelling as required for project needs.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Draftsperson within civil, building, or modular construction sectors.
• Proficiency in CAD and Revit/Archicad
• Experience with civil engineering software is important
• Understanding of Australian building codes and standards including the NCC highly advantageous
• Experience with Music Modelling for hydraulics and hydrostatic analysis highly desirable but not required
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver precise, high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
