About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drafter to support residential and commercial design projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical drafting skills, a solid understanding of construction documents, and hands-on experience using Chief Architect (preferred).

The Drafter will work closely with architects, designers, and project teams to produce accurate, code-compliant drawings and revisions throughout the design and permitting process.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and revise construction drawings for residential and commercial projects
• Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, and details
• Translate design concepts, markups, and redlines into accurate drawings
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable building codes and standards
• Coordinate updates and revisions throughout project lifecycles
• Maintain organized drawing sets and version control
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet project timelines

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Drafter in residential and/or commercial projects
• Chief Architect experience preferred (or similar drafting software)
• Strong understanding of construction documentation and drafting standards
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Comfortable working independently in a remote or hybrid environment

Preferred Skills

• Experience with permitting and plan submission processes
• Familiarity with other drafting tools (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.)
• Knowledge of residential and commercial building systems
