The 2026-27 faculty grid for this position is $75,461 to $116,035 based on years of experience and a Bachelor of Education. Faculty with a Master's will be paid at a higher range.

Mulgrave School is seeking an exceptional IB Diploma Programme English Teacher to join our vibrant Senior School community.
This is an exciting opportunity to teach IB DP English Literature and/or Language & Literature (SL & HL) and/or English First Peoples 10, while playing a meaningful role in students’ academic and personal growth. Beyond the classroom, you will serve as a Homeroom Advisor, contribute to a rich co-curricular programme, and, depending on experience, may have the opportunity to teach an additional subject such as Theory of Knowledge (TOK).
About the Role
As a member of our passionate and professional faculty, you will:
Teach IB DP English Literature and/or Language & Literature (SL & HL) and/or English First Peoples 10
Inspire students to achieve outstanding levels of academic excellence and personal engagement
Demonstrate a deep love of English language, literature, and inquiry-based learning
Serve as Homeroom Advisor to approximately 12 Senior School students
Supervise Extended Essays, as assigned by the Extended Essay Coordinator

Required Qualifications
Eligible to work in Canada (or willing to apply for the appropriate visa with school support)
Eligible for, or willing to obtain, BC teacher certification
Minimum of 5 years’ experience teaching English to adolescents
Bachelor’s degree in English Literature (or equivalent)
Bachelor’s degree in Education (or equivalent)
Knowledge of and experience with the IB Diploma Programme (English Literature or Language & Literature)
Preferred Experience and Qualities
Involvement with the IB Educator Network (Workshop Leader, Examiner, etc.)
Master’s degree in English Literature (or equivalent)
Experience teaching an additional DP or MYP subject (e.g., TOK)
Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team

The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience in accordance with BC labour laws and company policies.
