Job Posting - DONOR CARE OUTREACH AGENT

More than 45 years ago the inspiration for HCI began with three volunteers’ wish to change the lives of thousands of Afghan refugees in Pakistan. Today, together with our volunteers, donors and staff, HCI has delivered more than $250 million CAD in aid and transformed countless lives in more than 40 countries.
We are searching for a professional Donor Care Outreach Agent to maintain all community outreach activities. You will represent HCI and work with the management team to develop and implement initiatives that increase company visibility within the surrounding community. You need to be self-motivated, enthusiastic and community-driven to take on this exciting role. This position requires someone equipped with a positive attitude and readiness to be a team player.
Reporting To: Donor Care Lead & Donor Care Manager
Location: Remote
Terms: Contract full-time - 37.5 hours per week
Duration: 4 months
Deadline to Apply: Ongoing until the position is filled
Compensation: 20 CAD per hour
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Donor Engagement and Communication
Serve as the first point of contact for telephone inquiries and monitor the information email inbox to address donor concerns promptly.
Participate in soliciting donations from potential donors and engage with existing supporters to ensure ongoing contributions.
Handle complaints from supporters, responding sensitively, professionally, and with a focus on maintaining positive relationships.
Collect donor feedback and document negative experiences to share with the supervisor for service improvements.
Communicate with donors by email and phone to provide accurate updates, respond to queries, and follow up on donations and pledges.
Offer timely and courteous acknowledgments for donor requests and inquiries, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
Additional Tasks
Undertake other responsibilities as assigned to support the broader goals of HCI.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Diploma or Bachelors Degree preferred.
Previous experience in call center environment, preferably with a non-profit organization;
Confident and articulate verbal and written communication skills, including a pleasant and efficient telephone manner;
Sound computer literacy skills with high level competency in MS Office;
Methodical, organized and able to work with good attention to detail;
Team player with the ability to work independently with little direction or supervision;
Fluency in English and excellent written communication skills, fluency in French will be an asset.
