We are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Sales Manager to lead and expand our operations in Dominican Republic. This role will be responsible for defining and executing the country’s commercial strategy, driving revenue growth, strengthening brand presence, and leading a high-performing local team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy and Business Development
Define and implement the strategic plan for the DR market aligned with global objectives.
Identify growth opportunities, new distribution channels, and customer segments.
Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer behavior to refine strategies.
2. Commercial Management
Ensure achievement of sales targets, margins, and market share goals.
Negotiate with retailers, distributors, and strategic partners.
Oversee the execution of commercial policies, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
3. Marketing and Trade Marketing
Lead the marketing and trade marketing teams to execute effective campaigns and in-store activations.
Adapt global marketing strategies to the local market to ensure cultural relevance and competitiveness.
Monitor marketing ROI and optimize the use of resources.
4. Operations and Administration
Coordinate logistics, supply chain, and inventory management with regional/global teams.
Ensure compliance with local fiscal, legal, and customs regulations.
Manage the country budget and ensure business profitability.
5. Brand Management
Position the brand as a leading reference in the DR market, strengthening its identity and reputation.
Oversee customer experience and post-sales service quality.
6. Leadership and Team Management
Lead, motivate, and develop the local team across marketing, trade marketing, and commercial support.
Promote a culture of high performance, collaboration, and accountability.
Act as the primary liaison between the local market and regional/global functions.
7. Reporting and Analysis
Prepare periodic reports on commercial, financial, and marketing performance.
Propose corrective actions and improvement plans based on KPIs and performance insights.
Required Skills and Qualifications
English proficiency in intermediate level or above, ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment.
Advanced Excel skills, ability to analyze data, build reports, and manage performance tracking.
Proven experience in the consumer electronics industry, both white goods and brown goods, technical understanding is an advantage.
Demonstrated experience in country management, general management, or senior commercial leadership roles, especially for DR market.
Strong background in sales, business development, and strategic planning.
Experience working with retailers, distributors, and channel partners.
Solid understanding of marketing and trade marketing execution.
Strong financial, operational, and P&L management skills.
Ability to analyze market data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
Experience leading and developing cross-functional teams.
High level of strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution.
