This position supports the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)) Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) Engineering and Technical Support (RETS) program. This position serves as the single point of contact to manage all programmatic matters for individual task orders and is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of assigned task orders under the RETS IDIQ contract.

Responsibilities:

• Support the IDIQ Program Manager and serve as primary point of contact for individual task order management

• Manage day-to-day operations of assigned task orders including technical performance oversight

• Assign taskings to contractor personnel and supervise ongoing technical efforts

• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with R&D program managers and organizational leadership

• Track task order efforts to rapidly identify and resolve potential and emerging problems

• Identify and resolve administrative and contractual issues related to support services contracts

• Interface with Joint Staff, Services, and warfighters to coordinate engineering and analysis needs

• Coordinate analytic results and technical deliverables with stakeholders

• Provide formal project status and plan briefings to government managers

• Translate user requirements into project plans and milestones

• Manage task order performance against established milestones and budgets

• Demonstrate creativity, foresight, and initiative in solving unprecedented problems

• Requires a minimum TS/SCI clearance

• Bachelor's degree required

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in program/project management

• Pentagon and OUSD(R&E) experience strongly preferred

• Demonstrated experience in supervisory capacity planning, developing, and executing major research, engineering, and development efforts for defense organizations

• Experience with planning, directing, and managing complex projects/operations similar in size and scope

• Demonstrated experience with management and supervision of employees across various labor categories

• Experience working with DoD leadership and complex environments with multiple points of contact

• Experience identifying user requirements and translating them into executable project plans

• Strong problem-solving abilities and mature judgment

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments

This position is contingent upon contract award.
