Job Title: Documentum/xCP Developer

Location: Washington, DC

Duration: 6 -12 months +contract

OVERALL PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The purpose of this position is to provide Support critical business functions through the development, implementation, and maintenance of Documentum®/xCP systems. This will include investigation and resolution of production issues, development and testing of system enhancements, participation in Documentum/xCPapplication development and Documentum related upgrades.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The position’s essential duties include the following:

• Support critical business functions through the development, implementation, and maintenance of applications and systems;

• Contribute software development expertise to multiple projects and ensure that specifications are met;

• Design, code, test, debug, maintain, and document software applications;

• Follow established software development standards and procedures and contribute towards their improvement;

• Develop complex application features and create technical designs;

• Participate in peer code and design reviews; 

• Experienced with a wide range of technologies;

• Coordinate with departments and users in the support of business applications.

• Represent the IT department in terms of software development expertise in coordination with other departments;

•Experience with upgrading Documentum strongly desired.

•Experience with SharePoint development and administration strongly desired.

•Experience with integration of SharePoint applications with Documentum                       

•Experience with networking and system engineering concepts and tools.

•Experience with Single-Sign-On; VMWare, SiteMinder or equivalent

• Strong understanding of the concepts related to configuration management and release management

• Experience with implementation of COTS products, strongly desired

• Experience in vendor management, including development of RFPs, evaluation of vendor proposals, and management of vendor performance

• Ability to exercise sound judgment across a broad range of circumstances
