AECOM is seeking a Document Control Specialist II to be based in Dallas, TX.
This position supports project teams by managing document control processes, ensuring accurate tracking, distribution, and maintenance of project documentation in accordance with client and company requirements.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
• Maintain an established document distribution system and schedule in alignment with project, client, and supplier requirements
• Revise document control processes or schedules as needed to ensure timely approvals and distribution
• Ensure document revisions and updates are processed accurately and within required timelines
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure document edits are completed, reviewed, and approved
• Track, log, and maintain records of all incoming and outgoing project documentation
• Maintain and manage document control systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of files
• Prepare, organize, and maintain documentation systems for all project-related materials, including drawings and reports
• Ensure all documents are properly reviewed, approved, and signed off by appropriate personnel prior to distribution
• Distribute controlled documents to relevant project stakeholders in accordance with established procedures
• Support adherence to company and project-specific quality assurance and document control standards
• Follow standardized procedures while exercising judgment to support project needs and deadlines
Minimum Requirements:
• High School + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supporting document control functions on engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with document control systems or platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Aconex, Procore, or similar)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple document workflows simultaneously
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
• Knowledge of quality assurance processes and document control standards in regulated environments
