About the Job
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Reports & CAD Technician to support our HVAC Test & Balance (TAB) operations. This position works closely with field technicians and project managers to prepare TAB reports, project agendas, and CAD drawings used for project documentation. The ideal candidate has basic CAD knowledge, can read and understand mechanical plans, and is highly organized.
What You Will Be Doing
You will prepare, organize, and finalize HVAC Test & Balance reports.
You will be responsible for compiling airflow, hydronic, and equipment data provided by field technicians.
Your duties will include preparing project Write-up and Agenda reports for technicians prior to testing, outlining systems to be tested, required prerequisites, and testing sequence.
You coordinate with project managers and technicians to verify project readiness before TAB work begins.
You take part in reviewing finished TAB reports for completeness, accuracy, and consistency with project requirements.
Update and maintain drawings using AutoCAD LT.
Apply redlines and revisions to mechanical plans.
Create and revise airflow diagrams, zone plans, and equipment layouts as needed.
Ensure drawings align with mechanical plans and TAB documentation.
What We Are Looking for
Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD LT.
The ability to read and understand HVAC/mechanical plans.
Computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook, Adobe, file management).
Strong written communication skills for technical documentation

High attention to detail and organizational skills.
The ability to update and maintain drawings using AutoCAD LT.
