Dock Worker Team Member

Job Summary: Load and unload product from delivery trucks.

Role Priorities:

Load and unload mats, mops, linens, and garments from delivery trucks and depot boxes.

Operate Monorail and Monorail Hoist.

Operate Pallet Jack and Electric Forklift.

Operate Delivery Trucks.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Assist in maintaining the machines are working properly by informing Supervisor who will make minor repairs to equipment and requisition major repairs to Maintenance.

Ensure quality of product and meet daily production quantity goals.

Work in other areas of department as necessary.

Role Requirements and Essential Job Functions:

Training period of 2-4 weeks to become familiar with routes, department routine, company standards, and to attain normal efficiency.

Must have ability to stand and walk all day with strength and dexterity to handle heavy loads.

Lifting and\or moving 25lbs continuously.

Push and pull 75lbs and more occasionally.

Also involves twisting, bending, and turning.

Must be able to assist Supervisor in improving a system of production control, standard operating procedures, safety, and quality control.

Repetitive work.

Skills and Experience:

Must have valid Driver’s License.

Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, and productivity.

Warehouse or dock experience.

Interpersonal and communication skills.

Team player.

Commitment to company values.

Work Environment:

Inside typical plant environment- on the loading dock, exposure to weather conditions prevalent at the time; can be hot and humid inside the plant; must be aware of safety protocols and avoiding injury from bumping head from low rails and injury to hands from moving parts of machinery and tools.

General work hours are Monday through Friday.

Education:

 High school diploma or equivalent.
