Join Shepler’s in a fast pace, team-oriented work environment. Help us provide our guests with the Shepler’s family tradition of “First Class Service” to Mackinac Island. As one of our dock/deckhands you will be a critical part of our team working on both our docks and aboard our motor vessels. Primary duties include, but are not limited to greeting Shepler’s guests, tagging and handling guests luggage, directing/instructing vehicle traffic, loading and unloading vessels, assisting with the boarding process, secure/unsecure vessels to the dock, assuring every guest experiences our "First Class" standards in cleanliness and friendliness both at the docks and on board our vessels. Assisting with any possible guest issues both on our docks and while underway aboard our motor vessels will also be expected.

This position often works outdoors in all types of weather.
Part Time/Full Time/Seasonal
Full Time, Seasonal (May 1 – October 31) or Full Time, Peak Season ( Early June - Late August)
Skills
Ideal candidates will be comfortable working in front of the public. Must be able to work independently and have amazing attention to detail, along with pride in the work that you do. Must also be comfortable working outside in all elements. Must be 18 years of age with a valid US drivers license.
