Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a DNFSB Liaison / Technical Consultant II (3773) in Carlsbad, NM.

The DNFSB Liaison serves as the primary point of contact between the Carlsbad Field Office and the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board (DNFSB). This role ensures effective communication, coordination, and compliance with DNFSB recommendations, requests for information, and oversight activities. The Liaison facilitates transparency, timely responses, and accurate reporting to support nuclear safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary Interface Responsibilities
• Serve as the official point of contact for DNFSB representatives.
• Coordinate and facilitate DNFSB site visits, tours, and meetings.
• Maintain professional and collaborative relationships with DNFSB staff.
Communication & Coordination
• Develop, review, and deliver responses to DNFSB inquiries, requests for information, and formal recommendations.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of documentation and reports.
• Organize internal briefings and prepare leadership for DNFSB engagements.
Oversight & Compliance
• Track DNFSB recommendations, commitments, and associated corrective actions.
• Monitor progress toward closure of DNFSB issues and maintain compliance records.
• Provide periodic status updates to DOE site leadership and Headquarters.
Stakeholder Engagement
• Collaborate with DOE Headquarters, contractors, and site organizations to gather technical information.
• Coordinate internal reviews and approvals for DNFSB-related correspondence.
• Act as a resource for DNFSB protocols and expectations.
Program Support
• Identify trends and systemic issues from DNFSB interactions.
• Support initiatives that strengthen nuclear safety culture and operational excellence.
• Maintain a repository of DNFSB communications and historical data for reference.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field of study with 20 years of experience OR a master’s degree in an applicable field of study with 15 years of experience, OR a Ph.D. in a related discipline with 10 years of experience (as approved by the Contracting Officer). A TC II should have demonstrated expert knowledge and specialized experience (as requested by the Contracting Officer).
Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
