We provide non-emergency medical transportation, shuttle services, valet parking, service excellence consulting and coaching, parking/garage management and welcome desk/concierge services.  

We are currently recruiting a Parking & Badging Administrator with our self-parking team at DMC-Detroit. This position is for a candidate that is reliable, responsible and enjoys working with the public. This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, $19.00 per hour, 7:30AM-4:00PM.

*This position does offer medical/optical/dental and PTO benefits after 60 days of full-time employment.

You will be under general supervision, provide customer service, exercise proper phone etiquettes, exercise independent judgement to maximize efficiency and accuracy of scheduling appointments.  Understands that customer services is a key factor of the department.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s degree or equivalent with secretarial and computer science, or a combination of related education and/or experience.

Excellent customer service.

Three to four years of progressively more responsible medical secretarial experience or related experience, including performing secretarial/administrative duties.

Due to the sensitive security nature of the position, able to successfully complete a background check conducted by HR and any government and regulatory agencies.

Reliable transportation to and from work

 

Skills Requirements:

Analytical ability to gather, disseminate and interpret related information.

Proficient secretarial, organizational, communication and administrative skills.

Independent judgement, poise and tact to screen calls, make appointments and communicate sensitive information.

High level of interpersonal skills to deal effectively with DMC physicians, management staff, employees and community.

Ability to react quickly and confidently to changing priorities and stressful emergency or conflict situations.

Comprehensive knowledge of personal computers and software applications to gather data and prepare badges and reports. Excellent typing and customer service skills are needed.

Quality Customer Service in communications and in person demeanor.

Ability to learn the job.

You will be working inside the University Health Hospital on the DMC-Detroit campus in our badging department processing new hires, students, residents, and employee information. Basic math skills are needed for cash handling purposes. Delegating parking and badging for all staff for DMC-Detroit and DMC-Sinai Grace campuses.
