District MTSS Systems Lead

We are seeking a passionate District MTSS Systems Lead to drive and strengthen our K–8 Multi-Tiered System of Supports. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape districtwide systems and directly impact teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
The ideal candidate turns vision into action—partnering with staff and leaders to strengthen instruction, enhance interventions, and ensure consistency across schools producing better student outcomes.
A successful candidate will:
Possess an appropriate Michigan Certification
Meet requirements for a background check and fingerprinting
Candidates should bring successful experience in teaching, coaching, intervention, school improvement, or MTSS leadership work
A strong understanding of MTSS systems, data use, instructional practice, and adult coaching is essential.
Master’s degree preferred
Understands both the systems side and the classroom side of MTSS
Can coach adults with clarity, credibility, and care
Believes strong core instruction matters
Knows how to use data without losing sight of people
Can help teams move from conversation to action
Wants to make a real difference for students and staff
Key areas of focus for this role:
Oversee MTSS implementation across buildings, beginning with K through 8
Coach teachers during core instruction and MTSS blocks
Support stronger Tier 1 instruction and targeted intervention practices
Lead R-TFI progress monitoring and follow through
Use Early Warning System data to identify needs and guide support
Help building teams improve instructional fidelity and student response
Build coherence, consistency, and momentum across the district’s MTSS work
