Job Description

Your mission:
• Risk & Compliance Management: Leverage your experience monitoring fraud metrics, managing dispute rates across card processors and alternative payment methods (PayPal, Klarna), and ensuring compliance with card network programs like Visa VAMP and Mastercard SAFE to keep accounts in good standing.

• Fraud Prevention & Trend Analysis: Monitor fraud patterns and dispute trends across all payment channels, analyze risk on different levels and collaborate to develop strategies that reduce fraud rates, dispute ratios, and financial exposure.

• Processor & Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with payment processors, risk partners, and internal teams to maintain compliance and implement risk mitigation strategies.

• Team Oversight & Performance: Oversee risk and dispute handling operations, monitor KPIs and compliance thresholds, conduct performance reviews, and implement training to improve accuracy, efficiency, and proactive risk identification.

• Data Analysis & Risk Intelligence: Analyze fraud and dispute data using tools (such as Looker), identify patterns indicating fraud vulnerabilities, validate data across multiple systems, and track performance metrics to prevent financial losses and account restrictions.

• Continuous Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Data, Customer Support, Developer, Compliance, Finance) to optimize risk processes, implement fraud prevention tools, recommend automation, and enhance overall payment security infrastructure.

• Industry & Regulatory Awareness: Stay updated on card network regulations, processor compliance requirements, emerging fraud techniques, alert service capabilities, and PCI DSS standards to continuously refine risk mitigation and dispute resolution strategies.


Your profile:
• Maintain Compliance & Account Health: Apply your knowledge of card network thresholds (Visa VAMP, Mastercard programs) and regulatory requirements to proactively monitor compliance status, prevent account restrictions, and ensure uninterrupted payment processing.

• Monitor & Analyze Risk Metrics: Demonstrate proficiency in tracking fraud rates (TC40, TC15), dispute ratios, authorization rates, and chargeback performance across multiple processors and payment channels to identify issues before they become critical.

• Drive Fraud Prevention Initiatives: Use your experience with fraud prevention tools, alert services (RDR, CDRN, Ethoca) to implement effective fraud mitigation strategies.

• Utilize Data Analysis Tools: Demonstrate proficiency data reporting tools (Looker, Tableau, or similar), and processor dashboards to analyze large datasets, validate data accuracy, and generate actionable risk reports by different aspects (such as payment channel or traffic source).

• Manage Processor Relationships: Build and maintain strategic relationships with payment processor account managers and risk teams, handle compliance reviews diplomatically, and coordinate effectively.

• Identify Patterns & Root Causes: Use your analytical mindset to spot fraud patterns, dispute trends, and root causes across card processors and alternative payment methods, enabling proactive solutions and routing optimizations.

• Ensure Detail-Oriented Documentation: Maintain meticulous documentation of risk decisions, routing changes, compliance responses, and processor communications, ensuring transparency and knowledge continuity.

• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work effectively with Data, Customer Support, Developer, and Product teams to coordinate risk mitigation efforts, implement technical solutions, and share risk intelligence.

• Communicate Risk Insights: Clearly communicate fraud trends, risks, and recommended actions to stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to management.

• Stay Adaptable & Current: Keep ahead of evolving card network regulations, processor policy changes, fraud technique developments, and alert service capabilities to ensure ongoing compliance and effective risk management.

• Prioritize & Execute Efficiently: Handle multiple concurrent risk monitoring tasks, prioritize urgent compliance deadlines and fraud spikes, and execute systematic daily monitoring workflows to maintain payment infrastructure stability.
