Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and scheduling concrete, pump, and site mix deliveries in a fast-paced, real-time environment. This role ensures accurate order entry and documentation in company systems, clear communication between drivers, customers, and the corporate office, and timely distribution of daily schedules. The Dispatcher tracks delivery-related data, processes onsite payments, and supports overall operational efficiency within the concrete division. Additional administrative responsibilities may include filling in where needed, including weighmaster, sales, or aggregate support functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Answer phones and communicate with customers, drivers, and pump operators
Receive orders for concrete and concrete pump trucks
Know the materials being sold
Know the types of equipment and their hauling capacities
Record and collect funds given to drivers and all payment methods given prior to shipping
Monitor, organize, and file all paperwork for the corporate office to process
Listen and actively participate in communication with Team Members and customers
Maintain harmonious relationships with all Company staff
Maintain a professional attitude and performance in accordance with the established personnel policies
Complete other tasks and duties as assigned by the Sales and Logistics Director and the Dispatch Manager
QUALIFICATIONS IN ORDER TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Expert customer service skills
Extreme multi-tasking skills
Exceptionally detail-oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication
Preferred experience in Google Sheets, Command Integra, and GPS Tracking
