Overview:
Responsible for defining and delivering the technology strategy required to enable Gaming and Esports assets across Qiddiya. This role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and integrating best-in-class hardware, software, and immersive technologies that bring asset propositions to life.
The Director will develop a forward-looking product and technology roadmap aligned to asset requirements, oversee technology market engagement, and establish strategic partnerships with leading global technology providers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and own the technology strategy and product roadmap required to deliver Gaming and Esports asset propositions.
• Translate asset experience requirements into structured technology requirements across hardware, software, immersive systems, and digital platforms.
• Identify, evaluate, and benchmark emerging technologies within gaming, esports, immersive entertainment, and broader consumer innovation sectors.
• Lead go-to-market engagement with technology vendors, strategic partners, and innovation providers to assess capabilities, limitations, scalability, and commercial models.
• Establish and manage strategic technology partnerships, including pilots, MVPs, proof-of-concepts, and long-term collaboration frameworks.
• Work closely with Asset, IP, and cross-district teams to ensure Qiddiya leverages cutting-edge and scalable technologies while maximizing synergies across the broader destination ecosystem.
• Coordinate with other districts and corporate functions to identify opportunities for technology consolidation, shared platforms, and ecosystem-wide efficiencies.
• Provide technology feasibility inputs into business cases and asset development planning.
• Develop executive materials and recommendations to support leadership decision-making on major technology investments and partnerships.
• Provide leadership and direction to the Technology Strategy function, fostering a culture of innovation, commercial rigor, and forward-thinking execution
Requirements:
• A bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience technology strategy and immersive tech.
