Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Director, Technology Operations to lead the strategic vision and operational excellence of our global IT and DevOps functions. Based in the Philippines, you will report to the Director, Business Technology and serve as a leader responsible for modernizing and scaling our multi-site infrastructure across global datacenters, ensuring enterprise-grade security and compliance, and driving the digital transformation of our organization.
As a leader with TrueNAS you will shape the technology foundation that enables our global workforce and supports our product innovation. This role combines strategic business leadership with hands-on operational excellence, requiring you to think like a VP while maintaining deep technical credibility. Serve as the executive operational representative for the Makati site, ensuring cross‑functional alignment, operational continuity, and a high-performing local employee experience, measured through governance readiness, stakeholder satisfaction, and site operational maturity.
This is an in-office role based out of our Makati office. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday | 2am - 11am PHT.
Base Pay Range
The base pay range of this position is ₱323,000 to ₱415,000 per month. Additional compensation through the Incentive Bonus Program is available for this position after successfully completing 6-months of employment.
Please note that the provided range reflects the pay spectrum for positions within the same job category as the one to which this position belongs. The final offer will consider various factors, such as location, education, and prior experience, to ensure a comprehensive and fair compensation assessment.

Expected Posting Timelines
This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, a maximum of 90 days.
The Day-to-Day
Strategic & Executive Leadership
Define and execute multi-year technology strategy in partnership with the Director of Business Technology.
Build a high-performing Technology Operations team.
Set organizational KPIs, governance, and operational excellence standards.
Advise executive leadership on technology investments, risk, digital transformation, and represent Technology Operations in strategic planning.
Global Infrastructure & Hybrid-Cloud
Oversee and optimize global multi-site datacenter, lab, and colocation design, establishing standards for security, Disaster Recovery (DR), and capacity.
Manage and optimize hybrid-cloud infrastructure (on-prem, AWS, GCP, Kubernetes) for cost and performance, aligning internal infrastructure with TrueNAS product standards.
Ensure excellence in supporting Windows, Linux, and macOS environments at scale.
Design and implement best-practice global networking architectures (LAN/WAN/VPN/SD-WAN), establishing security controls and ensuring network reliability and scalability.
Advance CI/CD, automation frameworks, and internal platform sophistication, including management of proprietary Kubernetes cloud infrastructure.
Develop and enforce standards for observability, alerting, and instill a strong automation culture to accelerate deployment and minimize manual effort.
Enterprise Systems & Digital Transformation
Lead IT and DevOps requirements for enterprise-wide digital transformation (e.g., ERP migration, cloud transformations), ensuring technical readiness, data integrity, and user adoption.
Optimize and integrate key enterprise systems (Google Workspace, Slack, Salesforce, SAP).
Drive IT modernization for improved productivity and security.
Develop and enforce a comprehensive security and compliance framework (governance, access, patching, vulnerability, incident response).
Lead security assessments, continuous improvement, and manage auditors/regulatory relationships.
Own the end-to-end resilience strategy for the global infrastructure to protect business-critical functions against disruptions.
Budget & Vendor Management
Manage the Technology Operations CAPEX/OPEX budget, drive cost optimization, develop forecasts, and present business cases.
Manage vendors, negotiate contracts, evaluate technologies, and make autonomous budget decisions.
Champion open-source adoption and evaluate solutions.
Operational Maturity & Continuous Improvement
Design and implement an operational maturity roadmap to transition the organization to proactive, data-driven service management.
Establish a "Post-Mortem" and "Root Cause Analysis" (RCA) culture to prioritize long-term systemic fixes and measurably reduce technical debt.
Stakeholder Partnership & Change Leadership
Act as a strategic business partner to local and global leadership (HR, Finance, Engineering), ensuring technology accelerates business goals.
Align technology with business strategy by partnering cross-functionally and leading organizational technology change.
Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (Master's or MBA preferred).
10+ years in IT Operations, Infrastructure, or DevOps.
5+ years in director-level or VP-equivalent leadership roles.
Preferred certifications: Network+, CISSP, CISM, AWS/GCP Architect, CCNP/CCDP, ITIL, or SAP-related certifications.
Experience in the storage, NAS, or hardware/software product industry is a significant plus.
Strategic & Executive Leadership
10+ years IT Ops/Infra/DevOps, 5+ years VP/Director-level leadership.
Proven record building and scaling high-performing 10+ person teams.
Experience developing multi-year strategies and presenting to executives.
Comfortable with P&L, budget management, and ROI-driven decisions.
Technical Expertise
Deep expertise: multi-site datacenters, global networking, large-scale infrastructure, IT, and DevOps management.
Solid understanding: Kubernetes, Docker, virtualization (VMWare, XEN/XCP-NG, etc.), and hybrid-cloud (on-prem, AWS, GCP).
Solid understanding: enterprise networking (routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, SD-WAN).
Experience supporting/securing enterprise Windows, Linux, and macOS.
Familiarity with open-source ecosystem and culture.
Enterprise Transformation
Demonstrated experience leading/participating in large-scale ERP migrations or cloud transformations.
Understanding of SAP implementations, data flows, and infrastructure dependencies.
Experience managing complex integrations across enterprise systems.
Security & Compliance
Proven ability to build/implement security frameworks, compliance programs, and risk mitigation.
Experience with incident response, vulnerability management, and access governance.
Knowledge of global compliance standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.).
Leadership Qualities
