Director / Senior Director, Trade & Treasury Operations (EOI)

We are hiring for a leading digital asset platform providing brokerage, exchange, and custody services for institutional and professional investors. Renowned for its commitment to regulatory compliance, it operates under one of the first virtual asset trading licenses issued by Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). Its offerings include over-the-counter (OTC) trading, RFQ (Request-for-Quote) services, and electronic trading solutions.

The Director of Trade and Treasury Operations will be responsible for establishing and managing the company’s global trade and treasury framework in both digital and fiat currency to ensure secure, efficient, and compliant operations across on-/off-ramp, trading settlement, and cross-border payments. Reporting directly to senior management, this role oversees daily trading and transaction management, fund execution, liquidity and position monitoring, as well as risk control, while continuously optimizing settlement pathways to enhance capital efficiency and safety.

In this role, you will:

• Establish and continuously enhance the company’s global treasury operations framework in digital and fiat currency, including policies, processes, and risk control mechanisms.

• Lead day-to-day treasury activities including fund execution, cash positioning, settlement, and liquidity management to ensure efficiency and compliance in cross-border flows.

• Manage global liquidity and positions to optimize capital utilization and safeguard assets.

• Optimize settlement pathways and counterparties to reduce payment costs and improve turnaround times.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with global banks, payment institutions, clearing networks, and stablecoin ecosystems, while developing new channels in emerging markets.

• Design and implement treasury risk management frameworks covering FX, interest rate, liquidity, and counterparty risks.

• Drive the selection and implementation of treasury systems and tools to improve automation, transparency, and reporting capabilities.

• Partner cross-functionally with Compliance, Finance, Product, and Technology teams to ensure treasury operations align with business strategy and regulatory requirements.

• Support management in major capital planning, fund allocation, and new market expansion decisions.

You might thrive in this role if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related disciplines.

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in treasury, cash management, cross-border payments, or banking settlements, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

• Strong knowledge of cross-border payments, clearing and settlement processes, liquidity management, and treasury risk frameworks.

• Practical experience in stablecoins, digital assets, or blockchain-based settlement solutions preferred.

• Established network and experience in building payment rails and banking channels in emerging markets.

• Proven track record in building and managing global treasury systems and frameworks.

• Experience in OTC Desk operations or large-scale trading management will be a strong advantage.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.

• Deep understanding of Hong Kong and international financial regulatory environments, with strong compliance awareness.

• Strong communication and cross-cultural leadership skills; fluency in English is required, proficiency in Mandarin or other Asian languages is a plus.
