Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Identifies market opportunities to pursue for profitable sales
Works with Product Development & Product Management teams to define and prioritize projects based on profitable customer and market requirements
Sets sales strategy and goals for sales team and identifies roadmap for team to achieve goals
Develops sales targets and forecasts and motivates team to help achieve goals
Identifies improvements to develop success-driven plans
Participates in design of sales force structure and implements any needed revisions to sales model
Recruits and trains new sales team members
Provides key demand-side inputs for S&OP process – What is this? I don’t recommend using acronyms in job descriptions or job postings.
Utilizing Salesforce.com, supports the sales team by creating, evaluating, and optimizing data sets and sales applications
Ensures sales team’s effective use of Salesforce.com
Oversees business analytics and planning to enable sales team
Manages and evaluates data to determine effectiveness of products and campaigns and recognizes patterns and trends to allow for future forecasting
Monitors market and competitor activities to provide valuable business insight
Sells Anova’s products in an assigned territory (may be account- or segment-based, rather than geographically defined)
Wins new accounts, new applications, and other new business opportunities within the territory
Works toward increasing sales growth
Manages and negotiates pricing and terms to achieve profit targets
Manages Key Customer relationships on behalf of the business
Builds personal networks within customer organizations to identify, create, and win new business opportunities
Builds strong relationships with external partners and plays an active role in industry organizations
Maintains existing accounts and regularly communicates with primary contacts for the account
Ensures execution of Anova reporting, administrative tasks, projects required by managed accounts
Leads Quarterly Business Reviews and similar information exchanges with managed accounts
Handles end-to-end administrative workflows, including sales-specific tasks for Waterbox and other WIKON heritage devices, maintaining high data integrity within the ANOVA Germany platform and the ERP environment.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Minimum Requirements -
A Sales Leader with a track record of Persistence & Determination
A minimum of 10 years of outside sales experience
Seeks thorough knowledge of territory, market, and clients and consistently builds and maintains strong business relationships with clients
Excellent people management and leadership skills
Proven ability to successfully manage concurrent projects, multitask, and complete work while traveling
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Sales leadership and customer applications experience within the Industrial Gases or Chemicals industry
Preferred Qualifications -
Bachelor’s degree in related field

Physical Requirements -
Ability to perform typical office tasks, including sitting or standing for extended periods, using a computer, communicating effectively, and occasionally lifting light items
