Introduction to role
This role is responsible for the strategic development and delivery of risk-based quality assurance activities across emerging scientific and technological areas in R&D. Accountabilities
• Drive an external focus, actively tracking new and emerging regulations, scientific advances and best industry practice, and translate these insights into practical improvements in quality strategy and management.
• Build, manage and deepen strategic relationships with defined stakeholder groups and senior leaders in R&D, ensuring quality considerations are embedded in decision-making for new scientific and technological areas.
• Collaborate with and influence external stakeholders and regulatory bodies, representing the organisation’s quality position and helping to shape expectations in evolving areas of science.
• Actively contribute to the strategic direction of the Quality Journey, challenging current approaches and proposing new ways to manage risk and enhance assurance.
• Provide responsive and proactive GxP expertise to business stakeholders, with a particular focus on novel modalities, platforms and technologies.
• Ensure effective quality reporting and communication to business stakeholders, enabling clear visibility of risks, trends and performance, and support strategic QA governance forums.
• Provide expert input into quality and compliance risk management, including identification, assessment, mitigation planning and monitoring.
• Lead or support audits, due diligence activities, inspections and critical quality issue management, ensuring timely resolution and learning.
Essential Skills/Experience
• Expertise in GxP and other regulatory requirements relevant for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry
• Excellent analytical, written and oral communications skills
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Strong collaborative, influencing and interpersonal skills
