We are looking for a Director of Quality Assurance to lead and scale our QA organization in Chennai. This role requires strong leadership in modern QA practices, including no-code / low-code test automation, performance and stress testing, and data analytics testing across complex, cloud-native platforms.

The ideal candidate will define QA strategy, drive quality transformation, and partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Platform teams—while operating in a hands-on, outcome-driven, work-from-office environment.

Key Responsibilities

QA Strategy & Leadership

• Define and own the end-to-end QA strategy across functional, non-functional, and data quality testing.

• Build, mentor, and scale high-performing QA teams based in Chennai.

• Establish quality metrics, dashboards, and KPIs to measure product health and release readiness.ure across SDLC.

• Drive a shift-left and shift-right testing cult

No-Code / Low-Code Testing

• Lead adoption of no-code / zero-code test automation frameworks.

• Enable faster test creation and maintenance by reducing dependency on heavy scripting.

• Integrate no-code testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality validation.

Performance & Stress Testing

• Own performance, load, stress, and endurance testing strategy.

• Design and execute performance tests for large-scale, data-intensive and distributed systems.

• Analyze bottlenecks across application, database, messaging, and infrastructure layers.

• Partner with engineering teams to ensure performance SLAs/SLOs are met.

Data Analytics & Platform Testing

 

• Lead testing for data platforms, including: Data ingestion and pipelines ETL/ELT workflows

• Data warehouses and analytical stores (e.g., ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.)

• Validate data accuracy, consistency, reconciliation, and reporting correctness.

• Ensure data quality across batch and real-time analytics systems.

 

Cloud & DevOps Alignment

• Collaborate with DevOps teams on test environment readiness, scalability, and reliability.

• Ensure QA practices align with cloud-native architectures, microservices, and containerized platforms.

• Embed quality gates into CI/CD and release pipelines.

 

Stakeholder & Execution Management

• Partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Operations leadership.

• Own release sign-off and go/no-go decisions from a quality standpoint.

• Communicate risks, trade-offs, and quality status clearly to senior leadership.
