As the Director of Onboarding, you are accountable for the overall delivery of the onboarding experience. You bring significant industry depth and implementation-specific experience in support of their teams and our clients throughout the onboarding process. You provide project governance and oversight, working closely with their teams throughout the project to ensure any obstacles to successful delivery are addressed timely. As Director, you also build the team of onboarding subject matter experts (SMEs) by interviewing, hiring, coaching them, and then strategically staffing our new client onboardings.
The Gig:
• Provide leadership, people management, process adherence, delivery of quality and ongoing improvement to the onboarding experience
• Drive quality through auditing and process consistency across projects
• Support business through sales support and recruiting
• Work with clients in a leadership presence or to support escalations or risk mitigation
• Partner with Leadership to serve as first point of escalation for onboarding project concerns
• Ensure growth, development, performance and incentives are being addressed on regular basis with aligned team
• Manage and execute performance management goal-setting, progress tracking, delivery of annual performance and compensation review cycle
• Help define, implement and execute process improvements
• Train and develop broader team
• Lead or participate in Executive Sponsor client meetings
• Participate in and support sales opportunities
What you need to make the cut:
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 12-15+ years of benefits administration industry experience
• 8+ years in a leadership / managerial role
• Experience identify, hiring, managing, and maintaining strong performing team members
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Client consulting experience along with risk management/mitigation experience
• Deep analytical and problem solving skills, along with strong negotiation and decision making skills
• Sense of urgency and ownership of resolution, meeting established performance objectives and customer commitments
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to partner with key internal/external customer to drive change & continuous improvement
• Experience presenting results to an executive team
• Strong business acumen and leadership skills
• Ability to make decisions in a fast paced environment
• Experience defining, implementing and executing process improvements to drive new client onboarding efficiency
• Sales experience (support as SME)
The pay range for this position is $92K to $145K per year (pay to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data).
This role is eligible to participate in the annual bonus incentive plan.
