Job Title: Director of Work Rehabilitation, Physical Therapy & Occupational Therapy
Reports To: Director of Operations
Job Purpose
The Director of Work Rehabilitation, PT & OT provides strategic, clinical, and operational leadership
for Convivio Health’s Work Rehabilitation, Physical Therapy (PT), and Occupational Therapy (OT)
programs. The Director ensures consistent delivery of high-quality clinical care, strong patient
outcomes, efficient program operations, and a supportive, high-performance team culture.
Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical & Operational Leadership
- Lead PT, OT, Work Conditioning, and Work Hardening operations.
- Provide direct clinical services as needed.
- Ensure adherence to clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and Convivio policies.
- Assess referral trends, staffing, and workflow to maintain optimal efficiency.
Team Development & Culture
- Build a high-performance culture aligned with Convivio’s core values.
- Promote communication and collaboration across disciplines.
- Mentor clinicians in evidence-based care and professional development.
- Partner with HR to strengthen recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship.
Program Performance & Quality
- Monitor clinical outcomes, KPI performance, and patient throughput.
- Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant documentation.
Strategic Planning & Growth
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations on annual clinical and operational planning.
- Identify program enhancement or expansion opportunities.
- Support planning for space, equipment, and workflow improvements.
Staff Oversight
- Supervise PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs, and Work Rehabilitation clinicians.
- Manage scheduling, assignments, evaluations, and time-off approvals.
- Ensure adequate staffing to meet program demand.
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Coordinate with SIMP, BIRT, Medical, Administrative, and Operations leaders.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and leadership discussions.
Other Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or related field (required).
- Washington State licensure or eligibility.
- Significant leadership experience in rehabilitation settings preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with program development and outcome tracking preferred.
Working Conditions
- Primarily works in a climate-controlled clinical environment.
- Requires sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
- Frequent computer-based work.
- Occasional travel for training or multi-site support.
