The Director of Marketplace Management (Walmart) is an e-commerce marketplace expert responsible for scaling Spreetail’s performance on Walmart Marketplace while coaching and developing their team. This director will collaborate with a number of internal teams—merchandising, retail operations, advertising, and finance—as well as external Walmart partnership teams to achieve aggressive growth targets. Ideal candidates will have experience managing a high-volume Walmart storefront, working as a Walmart seller, or managing accounts in a specialized e-commerce accelerator.
How will you achieve success::
•
Walmart Team Leadership: Manage a team of Marketplace Managers focused exclusively on Walmart.com, driving a culture of high performance and deep platform expertise.

Channel P&L Responsibility: Own the Walmart channel P&L. You will drive financial awareness and improvement while implementing automation and process improvements specifically tailored to Walmart’s seller ecosystem.

Strategic Relationship Development: Drive operational and strategic relationships with Walmart’s partner managers. You will work with the internal merchandising team to develop promotional plans that align with Walmart’s "Deals for Days" and seasonal events.

Growth Acceleration & Risk Mitigation: Maintain a forward-thinking mindset to hedge against marketplace policy changes and accelerate growth. This includes partnering with technology and reporting teams to refine operational systems for maximum efficiency on the Walmart platform.

Strategic Assortment Positioning: Partner with merchandising and retail operations to optimize assortment and pricing for the Walmart customer. This includes setting targets for Walmart Connect and ensuring the team executes against clear revenue and goals.

Professional Mentorship: Develop and mentor the team with transparency and vulnerability to build trust, foster ownership, and invest in each team member’s growth in marketplace leadership
What experiences will help you in this role::
•
7+ Years of People Leadership: Proven track record of managing and scaling teams within a corporate or high-growth environment.
•
7+ Years in Walmart Ecommerce: Extensive experience navigating the Walmart.com marketplace, including familiarity with Walmart Fulfillment Services (WFS) and seller standards.
•
P&L Management: Demonstrated experience owning a complex P&L and making data-driven decisions to improve bottom-line performance.
•
Business Development: Skilled at identifying new white-space opportunities and scaling categories within the Walmart ecosystem.
•
Extensive Negotiation: High-level experience negotiating with platform partners and internal stakeholders to secure favorable terms and promotional support
