Job Description
Traba is the AI operating layer for the industrial supply chain. We started in workforce—temp staffing, the biggest operational pain point for the manufacturing and logistics customers we serve—and used it to embed ourselves inside their daily operations and create a far better customer experience through technology. Now those same customers are pulling us beyond staffing into the broader operational workflows that run their facilities. That foundation gave us proprietary data from millions of shifts and deep enterprise relationships. But our edge is more than data: by connecting to the systems running across every facility and activating the workers already on our platform to execute against them, we are building applied AI that drives real productivity gains and transforms how the global supply chain operates at scale.
We are backed by Founders Fund, Khosla Ventures, and General Catalyst.
About You:
You thrive at the intersection of strategy and execution, are deeply comfortable with ambiguity, and hold yourself and others to an exceptionally high standard.
Player-Coach with an Olympian Work Ethic and a Growth Mindset: No task is too big or too small. You are comfortable in the weeds — debugging a model, walking a warehouse, sitting with a recruiter — as you are presenting to the leadership team.. You work long hours, go all in alongside the team, and hold yourself to the highest standard. You are deeply intellectually curious, always asking why, constantly learning, and pushing yourself and those around you to grow. You see every challenge as an opportunity to get better.
Operating Rigor: You operate with extreme analytical discipline. You are relentless about data accuracy, stress-testing assumptions, and identifying inefficiencies others overlook. You instinctively know where the business is leaking margin or speed, challenge unnecessary processes, and ensure that Traba's operating cadences are as sharp and precise as its execution speed. You are world-class with data, modeling, and structured problem solving.
Strategic Partner: You are a thought partner to the CEO and executive team, helping refine strategy, allocate resources, and structure the company for long-term success. You have the executive presence to drive alignment across the organization.
Proactive Foresight: You are always thinking 6–12 months ahead, proactively identifying risks and opportunities before they arrive. You keep the company on the offense, surfacing challenges, stress-testing assumptions, and ensuring that Traba stays ahead of market shifts and operational bottlenecks.
Boardroom-Ready Communicator: You are a persuasive communicator who can distill complex operational data into compelling narratives for executives, the board, and the broader org, driving alignment and instilling confidence in high-stakes moments.
What You'll Do:
• Own Serviceability Performance: Drive the operating metrics that define serviceability and customer experience across Customer Ops and Worker Ops, including fill rate, worker consistency, launch ramp performance, retention, and onsite quality. Lead operational improvements that increase reliability, efficiency, and scalability across markets and accounts.
• Lead Operational Execution: Identify and solve the highest-impact operational challenges affecting customer performance, workforce reliability, recruiting efficiency, launch success, and market health. Drive issues from diagnosis through execution with a strong bias toward action and measurable outcomes.
• Scale Operational Systems and Infrastructure: Build the processes, tooling, controls, operating cadences, and playbooks needed to support rapid growth. Improve forecasting accuracy, standardize workflows across launches, account management, recruiting operations, and workforce performance, strengthen operational visibility, and reduce manual overhead so the organization can scale with consistency as complexity increases.
• Drive Marketplace and Account Performance: Partner closely with Customer Ops, Worker Ops, Growth, Finance, and Product to improve marketplace efficiency and customer outcomes. Support market prioritization, operational rollout strategy, pricing inputs, and account expansion initiatives tied directly to operational performance.
What You Bring:
• Ideal Pedigree: 7-12 years of total experience, with time at a top-tier management consulting firm followed by a senior operating role at a high-growth, operationally complex startup (Series A through Series C). Clear upward progression at every stop. Top-tier undergraduate institution.
• Operational Instincts: Strong handle on marketplace and physical-world operating metrics — unit economics, payback periods, launch ramp dynamics — and an ability to connect strategy to real-world execution on the floor.
• Systems Builder: Demonstrated ability to scale manual processes into automated, repeatable ones and implement operating tooling and cadences at growing companies.
• Cross-Functional Force Multiplier: Proven ability to operate across functions — sales, customer ops, worker ops, finance, product — and drive outcomes through teams you don't directly own.
• Startup Spirit: Ambitious, action-oriented, and willing to go all in alongside the team as a player-coach.
• Positive Presence: Direct, decisive, and a collaborative force who elevates every leader and team they work with.
Nice to Have:
• Experience with two-sided platform businesses
• Background as a collegiate or professional athlete, or military service
• Direct supply chain, logistics, or industrial operations experience
• Data & analytics experience (SQL, Tableau, Looker, etc.)
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience, with a highly competitive equity package. We want you to share meaningfully in the long-term upside of what we are building. Full benefits including health, dental, and vision coverage, commuter benefit, flexible PTO, and dinner provided for NY employees.
Location and Work Style
This role is based onsite in New York City, five days per week. We build in person — it is how we move fast, make decisions in real time, and hold a high standard together.
Our Values
Dream Big - We are on a path to change the world for the better. We create and communicate a bold direction that inspires a life-changing vision. We don't sacrifice long-term value for short-term results.
Olympian's Work Ethic - Changing the world never comes easy. We work harder, longer, and smarter, not just two out of three. We put everything we have on the field.
Growth Mindset - We confront the toughest challenges head-on and persevere. Sometimes we fail, but we brush ourselves off, adapt, learn, and push forward with resilience.
Customer Obsession - We go the extra mile for our workers and businesses. We remain focused on delivering high-quality products and services that solve this massive and overlooked industry's problems.
