We are seeking a Director of Spacecraft Mission Operations to lead mission operations planning and execution for advanced space systems supporting critical missions. This role owns operational readiness, real-time mission execution, anomaly response processes, and ground system oversight to ensure mission continuity and performance.
Where You’ll Make an Impact
Lead planning and development of spacecraft missions, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
Manage ground systems, including mission control and communications systems, to support spacecraft operations.
Establish processes for real-time anomaly detection, response, and resolution.
Lead and mentor mission operations personnel, including training and performance management.
Own mission operations documentation, standard operating procedures, and operational readiness reviews.
What It Takes
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
10+ years of spacecraft operations experience, including leadership responsibilities.
Experience with mission planning, real-time operations, and anomaly response processes.
Experience managing ground systems and operational interfaces.
Ability to operate effectively in a high-pressure, mission-driven environment.
Nice-to-Have Experience
Experience with national security space missions or high-availability operations.
Experience building mission operations teams and processes from the ground up.
Active U.S. security clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
