This role is responsible for reviewing and maintaining regulatory product requirements and coordinating submissions of products to independent test labs and gaming regulatory authorities to ensure efficient and expedient product approvals. Additionally, you will ensure adherence to and completion of product shipping requirements, assist with research and maintenance of product compliance regulations.
Responsibilities:
Effectively manage and support the Company’s product compliance responsibilities including but not limited to product submissions, shipping notifications, investigating and reporting incidents, maintaining product records, and managing relationships with external partners i.e. ITLs and content creators
Serve as the product compliance SME in addressing technical compliance and regulatory issues
Supervise product submissions to independent test labs and gaming regulatory authorities
Present products to regulators and testing labs in-person or remotely and engage in product-related Q&A
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, operations and legal to integrate compliance requirements throughout the product development lifecycle
Oversee database of approvals, technical documents, and regulations pertaining to both product and shipping
Monitor product shipment notification packages for accuracy and timely submissions
Implement processes to monitor and track changes in regulations and standards, and effectively communicate those changes to internal stakeholders
Investigate field issues and communicate findings clearly and concisely to Management, Regulators, and test labs as applicable
Create and maintain internal processes across departments related to product compliance requirements
Provide accurate product reporting to respective regulatory agencies
Conduct risk assessments related to product and shipping compliance and provide guidance to the department on measures to reduce or eliminate risks
Develop and deliver training to educate internal teams on product compliance obligations and best practices
Represent Galaxy at key industry events and tradeshows, including but not limited to G2E and IGA
Reports discrepancies, recommended changes, and/or problems for resolution to the Gaming Compliance Officer
Help support the incident management process, including responding to field issues and preparing regulatory compliance notifications, and sending applicable information and documents to Galaxy customers
Serve as a point of contact to coordinate product and shipping-related regulatory responses to various agencies with the Gaming Compliance Officer
Provide support to the Gaming Compliance Officer as required
Other duties as assigned
Required Knowledge/Skills/Job Qualifications:
Position requires registration with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (“NGCB”) and other gaming jurisdictions in which we operate
Understanding of regulatory requirements pertaining to product and shipping compliance
General knowledge of iGaming and casino table games markets
Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including telephone, email, and video conferencing etiquette
Must be able to articulate concepts and ideas in a clear, concise, and accurate manner
Strong organization skills with sharp attention to detail, accuracy, and follow through
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Ability to identify critical and practical problems and, find a solution
Strong project management skills: plan and execute projects, establish priorities, and meet deadlines
Ability to exercise good judgment under all circumstances and deal with stress effectively
Ability to communicate effectively with regulators, which may include appearances in front of boards or commissions, executive directors, and staff
Ability to read, write and interpret detailed, concise, and accurate documents, such as reports, policies, procedures, and correspondence
Demonstrate integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, software applications, and databases
Familiarity with enterprise management or database system is a plus
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
Ability to work independently and always exercise good judgment
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in a related field and/or a combination of education and equivalent work experience in a related field
At least (5) years of product compliance experience with either a gaming operator or gaming supplier, or equivalent experience/background with a regulatory authority or test lab
Physical Requirements
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time
Must occasionally move about inside the office to access office machinery
Must be able to move about in the testing area or showroom to facilitate presentations and testing
Constantly use hands/fingers to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator and copy machine
Occasionally will need to reach with hands and arms and lift up to 25 pounds
