Position Summary
The Director of Practicum will promote and execute a career path for Centria’s clinical field staff to realize our Behavior Technician pool's potential talent pipeline, maintaining and expanding an alternative to recruitment in hard-to-recruit markets, by developing and executing against a clear sequence of clinical field-based competencies preparing candidates to become effective Supervising Clinicians at Centria. A leader in this position will create a clinical culture of team members who are completely bought into our clinical practices, systems, and expectations, becoming strong performing members of our Clinical Team. The Director of Practicum will work closely with clinical leadership to evaluate opportunity areas within our systems to build innovative clinical solutions that add value to the enterprise. This role will be responsible for developing strong relationships with and mentorship of the Clinical Team to coach, counsel, and train where appropriate to help support overall clinical performance.
Compensation
$110,000 - $120,000 plus annual bonus
Success Measures
Success in this role will be evaluated through a combination of measures, including organization-level clinical outcomes; financial performance; and clinician, technician, and client retention.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Execute a sequence of standards with field-based competencies that align with our clinical systems, Supervising Clinician expectations, and the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) task list, which outlines different experiences, job responsibilities, and success criteria through three phases of development.
• Develop a set of resources to support Supervising Clinicians in providing supervision aligned to Centria Institute expectations.
• Collaborate with Area Directors of Clinician Development (ADCDs) in providing a group supervision model to ensure continuity with the practicum experience and opportunities for community-building learning experiences.
• Continuously perform at 85% Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) passing rate.
• To ensure alignment across practicum candidates and supervisors in expectations, experiences, and competency:
• Monitor and report on a system that tracks development and progress throughout their candidacy with visibility to where each candidate is within the process, which candidates are ready for mid-tier responsibilities, and those on track to complete and sit for the exam.
• Ensure process results in near 100% retainment of practicum students as they transition to Supervising Clinicians at Centria.
• Maintain university partnerships that allow for online coursework with monthly starting points that can eventually align and/or integrate with our expectations as an organization.
• Proactive Recruitment Process
• Work to profile/identify who would make an excellent Supervising Clinician.
• Proactively identify Behavior Technicians who are interested in becoming Supervising Clinicians and support them in the process.
• Compliance with Centria’s Code of Conduct, policies and procedures, and Federal and State laws.
• Responsibility to report violations of Company policies or the Code of Conduct.
Qualifications
Education, Certifications, Licensure
• Master’s degree required, A Ph.D. preferred
• BCBA certification required, BCBA-D certification preferred
Work Experience
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience providing BACB supervision for those pursuing their BCBA certification
• Experience in creating and implementing clinical development processes across an organization
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a practicing BCBA OR related teaching experience
• Experience collaborating and establishing partnerships with universities
• Demonstrated success in building and implementing systems
• A background of high first-time BCBA exam pass rates for supervisees
• Documented publications across varying types
Equipment and Technology Requirements
• Proficiency in navigating a PC operating system and utilizing a laptop
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proficiency in G Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Google Meet)

Working Conditions
• Centria's office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM.
• Additional time or occasional shifts in schedule may be required to complete the above work or meet company objectives.
• Employee may reside in any state within the United States
• Quarterly travel will be required
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, physical requirements such as bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 30 pounds may be required. This role will require sitting most of the day as well as walking and standing periodically. This role may require close visual acuity on computer screens or monitors and the ability to analyze data and figures on a screen.
